Wave Asian Bistro (Florida)
Wave Asian Bistro. Location: Mount Dora, Florida.
On my trip to Florida it was on my foodie bucket list to visit Wave Asian Bistro.
This cute little bistro in Mount Dora Florida attracts thousands of people on social media because of their unique sushi creations. You can even check them out on youtube as they have a video collabing with foodie youtubers to sushi the whole entire Taco Bell menu.
While I was there I had to try their iconic sushi pizza and sushi donuts. I felt like a little kid when they brought the food to our table. It was glorious. It looked exactly like what I had been drooling over on instagram.
The sushi pizza and donuts were so aesthically pleasing to look at that I almost did not want to to eat it, but I devoured it like no one was watching. The donuts were filled with a creamy crab filling and was layered with salmon, tuna, avocado and masago (fish eggs). The pizza was topped with salmon, tuna, edamame and a spicy mayo sauce. The fish was fresh and the ingredients just blended so well together it was a sushi lovers delight. The orange chicken was lightly battered and tossed in this finger licking sweet and spicy orange sauce. We ordered their udon soup bowls as well (not included in this picture) and the broth was very flavourful and reminded me of a good homestyle broth that never disappoints.
Who would have thought that this small hidden restaurant in the town of Mount Dora would be sturring up the foodie world and attracting a large following of social media. Their new and innovative ideas of transforming traditional sushi to mimic burgers, pizza and donuts is what makes this place so attractive and so worth trying!
